Shauna Weaver has returned to Edmonton after teaching and residing in Ontario for 8 years. She has studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip hop and Musical Theatre extensively since the age of four. Since that time, she has taken part in various competitions and performances around the world as well as achieving highest grades in major exams such as R.A.D (Intermediate), Al Gilbert Tap and Jazz, Highland Dancing. She has had the opportunity to dance in various places such Spain, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Myrtle Beach and most recently New York. Previously, she was co-owner, coordinator and performer for Hyperflex Productions in Edmonton, whose performances include the opening and closing of Miss Hawaiian Tropic, the Grey Cup 1999-2006, the Calgary Stampede 2001 and many more. After training in Los Angeles for a short period of time, she decided to continue her love of teaching. She has now been teaching for over 20 years and throughout that time she has won various awards for her choreography. As part of extending her knowledge and experience, Shauna spends some of her time as an adjudicator throughout Canada and most recently completed her “Acrobatic Arts Teacher Certification” which gives her the opportunity to teach “Acro” along with the other forms of dance. These accomplishments and expertise have lead Shauna to expand her teaching techniques to not only dancers but conditioning figure skaters to help them grow into well-rounded athletes, and develop their performance and presentation. Shauna continues to strive to pursue excellence in the art of dance, both for herself and her students.
